Livesound Ltd was established in 1979. Originally involved in Sound System Rental, the company started to get a reputation as a quality supplier of audio solutions for Concerts and the Local Touring Band market. It didn’t take long before enquiries from Night Clubs, Bars and Houses of Worship led the company to expand into audio installations and the supply of equipment. With a growing business came the demand for better and more equipment. New Zealand had a very regulated economy and it was almost impossible to import anything. We needed and our customers wanted products that we were unable to get. Our rental business needed Roadcases to protect our investment in equipment and no one in New Zealand made them! Our  customers were also in the same predicament. In 1981 Livesound set up New Zealands first Roadcase manufacturing business. From its humble beginnings it has now grown to be the number one choice for supply of custom cases to the New Zealand market. Livesound sold its rental business in 1999 and closed its installation dept. It was decided to concentrate on distribution of the products we imported and our highly reputable custom manufacturing business. We have also expanded our repairs and service capabilities.
