Compact High-definition Loudspeaker Either mobile live sound or permanent installation; the HPI110 is a lightweight high powered compact speaker system that has a number of key technical innovations to improve performance in real venue environments. Most venues potentially degrade the performance of standard sound systems regardless of the quality. The HPI110 can be installed as a single element or as part of an array of up to three elements. Everything about the HPI110 shows a design aimed at functionality in the real world. A Closer Look Functionality in the real world is what separates the HPI110 from the rest of the field. Have a bad sounding venue space? You need the HPI110. One consistent problem in reproducing intelligible voice in a venue is the degrading effect of wall and ceiling reflections. When a listener hears more sound from the reflected (reverberant) field than the primary sound system, loss of speech intelligibility results. This location in the room is known as "beyond the critical distance". The HPI system extends the "critical distance" by utilising a custom HF wave guide to direct the sound away from the walls and ceiling and into the listener area. The HPI110 mid-high asymmetrical wave guide provides 60 degrees horizontal dispersion at the base of the flare and 30 degrees at the top. Vertical dispersion above the box is limited to 15 degrees. A large format HF driver allows for a relatively low cross-over frequency and this means more control over a wider frequency area. The HPI110 is available in black (HPI110) or white (HPI110W) low sheen finish. Rigging & Accessories To get the best from the HPI110, the QR rigging system allows installation from a single box to three box arrays. With an array of three HPI110 speakers weighing in at 47kg, it's one of the most light-weight yet high powered systems in the world. This is particularly important if installation is required in a heritage building or an existing space with weight restrictions. The rigging system is progressive with its "top spine hanging bracket" system for single speaker systems, QR2 wall bracket, QR3/4 for flown installations and a U bracket that can be direct wall or truss mounted. Permanent or Portable The HPI110 is at home on the road. The lightweight ergonomic design makes it ideal for portable mobile audio. A pair of HPI110 boxes on a "T" piece can be located on a sub bass box with a conventional speaker pole for mobile full range sound. The high power handling and projection characteristics mean a two box array can push a lot of high SPL audio into a medium sized venue space. The long throw characteristics of the system can deliver a surprisingly coherent result at 48 metres, which is outstanding for such a physically small speaker system. In its most basic form, no system controller or complex system correction electronics is needed to get great sonic results from the HPI110. Just plug it on and play. With lightweight, high power and system scalability, the HPI110 is a truly versatile system. Putting Energy Where it's Needed Quest has refined the technical art of " asymmetrical audio projection" for the HPI110/111 loudspeakers ? Locating the sound where the audience is, and not to the walls and ceilings. The result is high intelligibility vocal imaging in reverberant venues. Whether an array or single box system, installation is simple and functional. The benefits of Quest asymmetrical projection ? Get higher vocal intelligibility The acoustic energy is directed to where you want it (the audience), and not to the reflective surfaces around the room. The nature of the asymmetrical projection is a more efficient use of the energy. Consonant sounds are not drowned out by reverberant energy. The sound coverage and vocal image is more uniform throughout the listening area and high frequency component is less likely to ?fall off? over distance. Power Me Up The HPI110 can take serious power by any standard. Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 480-720W (nominal) to ensure full performance. Quest - HPI111 - 10" All-round speaker for Vocals and Music.

    Quest Engineering
    $3,012.99
Compact High-definition Loudspeaker The HPI111 is a medium to high powered 90 degree dispersion compact speaker system designed to project voice and music throughout mid sized performance venues. It can be hung in small arrays or function as a stand alone speaker system in mobile PA production with or without sub bass enhancement. Contained within the discrete HPI111 appearance there are a number of key technical innovations to improve performance in real venue environments. A Closer Look The HPI111 system is comprised of a single 1" 90 degree asymmetrical wave guide and one 10" high powered woofer. The HF can be rotated to deliver optimum coverage in both vertical and horizontal installations. This makes the HPI111 very function in a wide variety of installation environments for both vertical and horizontal installation. The HPI111 is the perfect candidate for a myriad of applications including performing arts centres, houses of worship, corporate theatres and venue environments where mid level SPL coupled with high definition vocal reproduction is required. The HPI111 is available in black (HPI111) or white (HPI111W) low sheen finish. Rigging & Accessories To get the best from the HPI111 system, the multi-purpose light weight QR flying/installation system extends the range of installation options. The rigging system is progressive with its "single box top spine hanging bracket" system for single speaker systems, progressing to QR2 pan tilt wall bracket and QR3 two box hang. A QR Series U bracket is also available for single box horizontal installation. The QR3 hanging plate has multiple splay angle options to allow precise horizontal dispersion control. Thanks to the 90 degree dispersion of the of the HPI 111, the QR3 hanging bracket suspending two HPI111 boxes can cover a full 180 degrees. Perfect for Unfriendly Environments Bearing in mind most venue architecture is inclined to degrade the performance of standard sound systems. A common problem in many venues is reproducing intelligible voice. The degrading effect of wall and ceiling reflections causes loss of speech intelligibility. The location in a room where the reflections are approaching the level of the sound system is known as "the critical distance". The HPI111 system extends the "critical distance" by utilizing a custom HF wave guide. The design of the asymmetrical HF wave guide is such that it directs the sound away from the walls and ceiling. Sound is directed only where it is needed and away from the reflective surfaces of the venue. The result is exceptional vocal clarity and control over the dispersion area. Power Me Up The HPI111 can take serious power by any standard. Quest Engineering recommends an amplifier capable of delivering 480-720W (nominal) to ensure full performance. Quest - HPI8i - 8" Multi-purpose 2-way Passive Speaker

    Quest Engineering
    $1,762.99
Multi-purpose 2-way Passive Speaker The HPI8i is a compact full frequency range multi-purpose 2-way passive speaker system designed for live sound and permanent installation. Priority in the design is focused towards strong voice projection capability in medium to larger venue spaces and the HPI8i can be installed as a complementary element to the HPI111 and HPI110 installation. It is suited to front-of house sound for mid to long throw applications in both stand-alone applications, as part of a small array or distributed system and can be installed in vertical or horizontal configurations. A Closer Look A little box with big potential, the HPI8i has a number of features designed to increase performance and versatility for a professional sound installation environment. A key feature is the Quest designed asymmetrical high frequency wave guide. This feature helps lower the reverberant problems in many venue environments that degrade voice intelligibility, by focusing the sound to where it is needed and away from walls and ceilings. The result is a speaker that sounds much bigger than it appears. This is highly beneficial when sightlines and venue architectural requirement demand discrete low profile audio and high output. Asymmetrical Rotation The 90 degree wave-guide has a horizontal dispersion of 90 degrees at the base of the flare and 45 degrees at the top. Vertical dispersion is 15 degrees above horizontal and 45 degrees below. This effectively gives a wide HF energy dispersion in a close fill application and beams to the far field. Great for eliminating "hot spots" close to the speaker while still delivering great projection across a large floor area. The wave guide can be rotated 90 degrees allowing for horizontal box installation and a great benefit for venues with low ceilings that previously would have required delay speakers to achieve the coverage. Designed to Work Hard The HPI8i casing is birch ply and threaded inserts for installation in a number of options. The parallel speaker inputs are recessed to aid in a tidy installation and the casing also has a convenient carry handle and tough steel grill. Rigging options include the QR2 pan tilt wall bracket with an optional HPI8i installation spine or pole mount option through the 35mm pole hole. A U bracket is also available (WBHPI8i) for horizontal installation. Power Me Up The HPI8i can take serious power for it's size. $580.99
MX601 Monitors High-Fidelity Weatherproof Loudspeakers MX601- [6" x 1"- 80W] Not just another new speaker range, the MX Series is a system of audio building blocks that allows architects and venue designers to create a seamless full range audio presence, without compromising on aesthetics. The range is based around a 6" or 8", two-way, full range, wall or ceiling mountable loudspeaker and can be augmented with a very compact subwoofer system. Ceiling speaker versions are also available. The Ultra-compact MX601 and MX801 loudspeakers are very low profile and feature Hi-Fi quality audio reproduction, withstand direct all-weather environments, and include an installation friendly mounting system that is both elegant and practical. Revealing Details The objective for the Engineers of the MX Series Indoor/Outdoor line-up was to take the compact wall mount speaker to a new standard of performance. This meant consulting with a wide range of venue and public space designers to determine what is needed in a modern designed architectural space. To achieve the desired outcomes a completely new approach to the design was required, both technically for the audio performance, and in developing new manufacturing techniques. The result is a refined appearance that fits visually into any environment, reproduces Hi-Fi quality music and speech; and is easy to install. The MX Series are small in size considering the SPL output and frequency response they are capable of delivering. The housings are shaped and finished to reflect light in a way that helps them blend in visually with modern architectural styles. To achieve the very small physical size, a completely new type of woofer design was required. A conventional woofer would not fit in the intended space or deliver the bass response required in a sealed enclosure. Quest has designed a new type of driver and also incorporated a passive resonance circuit that simulates the action of a reflex port. This means an 8" driver can function at full capacity within a cabinet space that would normally be suited for a 6? driver. As a result of this, and the sealed enclosure design, the MX Series can be environmentally rated up to IP67. For use outdoor installation, addition of the optional IPMX1 kit for electrical connection weather protection is recommended. This IP rating opens up new avenues for system design and placement the opportunities are endless. The MX Series is available in black (MX601 / MX801) or white (MX601W / MX801W) finished in clear low sheen finish. Q-Mount UB1 Mounting System Wall mounting is made easy with the patented Q- Mount UB1 wall mounting system. The UB1 included with both the MX601 and MX801 is a pan/tilt system that is based around a 10 degree locking ball and socket joint. This allows for precise directivity control at uniform angles. The locking mechanism requires no tools and is high strength with no capacity to slip over time. The combination of the parallel terminal plug on the MX Series and the "aim and clamp" bracket design means that installation takes minimal time. Power Me Up Quest Engineering recommends the QM1000P, Q1K or QX-280 Series Amplifiers as a suitable partner for the MX601 / MX801.
